| Like gangsters in a police round up would say - "this is our story and we're stickin' to it! (Well, at least until we come up with a better alibi.)" 40 Ft. Ringo is a done deal, 4 freaks from Soprano County, New Jersey. It all begins with years of slugging it out together in the New York & New Jersey club scene. The seeds were planted in 1995 by Steve Brown & PJ Farley locking themselves in their basement-recording studio writing a ton of "super rock anthems - that will appeal to young people as well as mature rockers who still like their music to rock". What is a 40 Ft. Ringo? Where is a 40 Ft. Ringo? Why 40 Ft. Ringo? The name means nothing, it just sounds cool and people seem to react positive to it and a buddy to the band came up with a massive cool logo for it. And as we all know, to make it in rock 'n' roll all you need is a cool logo! 40 Ft Ringo is anything but style over substance, as the direction and mindset was always based around one common factor of all legendary bands - "writing great songs"! Crafting, creating and tearing up lots of ideas gave them the sound they were looking for - slamming rock tunes with melodies that stick in your head like crazy glue". Steve plays guitar, sings and jumps around like a maniac, PJ plays bass, sings harmony and provides the twisted humour, lead guitar is handled by Maz and the rock drumming mania is delivered by Brian. That's all needed to create a complete rock 'n' roll line up! 40 Ft. Ringo have already showcased their world class sound at many of the NYC top clubs such as Arlene Grocery, and built a rabid following of fans, packing the house every time they played. 40 Ft. Ringo´s live shows are the bands' most powerful strength. With reckless abandon, flawless musicianship and their special twisted sense of humour, the show is like a wild furious party, and that's what it's all about - "A good time"! Now with the release of "Funny Things", 40 Ft Ringo's debut album for Atenzia Records, the energy, power and unforgettable melodies of the band's live shows is transmitted perfectly into the studio.
