| VAINGLORY is a band that features intense riffs, virtuoso guitar, masterful drumming, heavy bass, powerful vocals, and thought provoking lyrics. Based around modern guitar master, Corbin King "The King Of Southern Shred", this band has all the ingredients in place to be a major force on the metal market for years to come. Corbin King came to worldwide notice with his blistering guitar work on the critically acclaimed VAINGLORY '2050' release. He was proclaimed "One of the brightest young guitar stars to have come around in years." Blending influences from diverse styles such as traditional metal to shred metal to heavy blues rock, Corbin's dominant guitar is truly astounding. Along with guitarist/songwriter Corbin King the band includes vocal sensation Kate French, of CHASTAIN fame. Kate's ability to mix power, conviction, emotion, and true heavy metal singing is very uncommon in today's "metal" vocalists. Kate is a veteran to heavy metal and has not only pushed beyond the normal bounds of female vocalists, but has deliv-ered her best recorded performance to date on this CD. Kate French first hit the metal scene in 1994. She signed to Leviathan Records with the band CHASTAIN, for her unique metal vocal styling as one of the rare breed of true metal female vocalists, her first worldwide release with CHASTAIN "Sick Society" was nominated for a Grammy award by the National Academy of Recording Artists and Sciences. In 2003, Kate was introduced to new guitar virtuoso Corbin King. Kate auditioned for VAINGLORY, who had been looking for a vocalist for several years. After several different auditions, Kate was chosen as the new vocalist for VAINGLORY. The addition of a second guitarist took place in early 2005 when Corbin brought aboard guitarist John Michael Youngblood. John is a former long time student of Corbin's and through years of practice, dedication, and friendship, landed himself a spot in VAINGLORY.
