| The 90's, with its changing climate in the music industry, saw the unfair demise of Hair/Rock Metal, and Warp Drive was another casualty of this time. Warp Drive could have easily jumped ship for the 90s contemporary sound. Danger Danger, Dokken, Warrant and Winger are all examples of bands trying to reinvent themselves in a difficult decade. In 1990 Warp Drive stuck firmly to their faith in the music they believed in and began to record a follow up to Gimme Gimme. Ex-Blackfoot (and now Lynyrd Skynyrd vocalist and guitarist) Ricky Medlocke handled production and co-writing as well. The completed album which is now titled 'Something to Believe In' is very appropriate to how rock music has now become. It is amazing to think it has taken 20+ years to see this on CD format. Out now on AOR Blvd Records. | |
