Vince O’Regan and Rick Chase have recently joined forces, culminating in a debut album of blistering rock tracks that are destined to become true classics. Vince O’Regan, the co-founder of melodic rock band “Pulse” has been previously involved in bands such as “Kooga” and acclaimed Irish AOR band “No Sweat”. Vince’s big break came in the year 2000 when he was inducted into “Magnum” vocalist Bob Catley’s live band for the co-headlining tour with “Ten”. The guitar maestro’s sizzling axe work soon brought about attention from the rock media, coupled with playing on Catley’s well received “When Empires Burn” in 2003, which also involved Vince’s long standing friend Paul Hodson. Following a split with “Pulse” the guitarist was persuaded to join Paul’s band “Hodson” for the album “This Strange world” in 2004. Following Vince’s appearance at the 2003 Gods festival the guitarist quickly set to work on reforming “Pulse”. Featuring a new line up the band entered Vince’s KRT studios in 2004 to record the acclaimed follow up album “Worlds Apart”. The album adopted a more guitar orientated approach with comparisons to Whitesnake and Bad Company. Since then Vince has been busy in the studio with Bob Catley, this time not only as the guitarist but as producer of Bob’s fifth solo album “Spirit of Man”. Rick Chase is a great frontman and his previous work includes “Graffiti”, “Mama’s Boys” and more recently “Double Cross” (They toured with Styx last year!). Rick has now split with Double Cross due to musical differences and is very much the singer for Alibi. His powerful vocals are an asset for the band in many ways. Together with the other band members who include ex Pulse bassist Andy Mills the line-up is complete for a truly great rock recording. Alibi play classic British melodic rock, with pumping guitar chords and powerful rhythms, rounded off with great lead vocals and strong songwriting. The album Misdemeanours is scheduled for release in August 2006 and they have already created a stir. Indeed an album well worth checking out.
