Misha Calvin’s second album, though not quite up to the standard of his magnificent debut, is still an excellent collection of melodic hard rock songs, all shot through with the man’s enigmatic and distinctive guitar playing. On board for this album was vocalist Ian Parry, later to find success as vocalist with Dutch progressive metal act Elegy. This time produced by the man himself, ‘Evolution 2’ picks up nicely where the debut left off and is guaranteed to satisfy lovers of that magnificent first album and fans of melodic hard rock alike With two bonus tracks on offer, if you’re new to this album…you’re in for a treat.
