| FARO is a new musical project that takes it's shape from the collaboration of well-versed musicians. Just like the band ensemble, the music comes disparate. It integrates varied influences and an exotic bouquet of styles and braids them all into the never-aging grand sound of Melodic Hard Rock. The FARO mainman is the charismatic lead singer Chitral "Chity" Somapala who is well known as the lead singer of the melodic progressive metal band AVALON. He was born in Sri Lanka to a famous musicians family and his parents were well respected artists. He also did the LION BEER commercial in Sri Lanka, which was very demanding in the country for the very first time sung in a Hard Rock fashion in the native Sri Lankan language. In 2002 he also contributed the song "Greenlands" for the ISIPATHANA INTERNATIONAL RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIPS in Sri Lanka. Frank Rohles plays a unique guitar in a quite distinguishable style. Born in Spain, he is known as a session musician and a songwriter and plays on various Rock Projects in Germany. Frank has worked in different styles and types of music - from musical to jingles for TV, i.e. playing guitars on the Drehscheibe music for ZDF. Daniel Flores, born in Chile and resides now in Sweden is known for his tremendous/excellent drumming with the swedish progressive metal band MINDS EYE and various other musical projects! FARO has a virtue that very few similar projects bask in nowadays. It is the wondrous balance between the commercial appeal and the hardcore songwriting craft.
