Firefly is the brainchild of John Pratt, an extremely talented songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Los Angeles, California. John is best known for his extensive contributions to the TV and movie industry, working on such movies as "Cadillac Man", "Robocop II", "Firebirds" and "Still Holding on". John has previously recorded with Kim Carnes, Lita Ford, Julliett and Gino Vanelli. In the eighties he had his own band, Roxbury Drive, who were cited as the largest drawing unsigned band in Los Angeles at one point. The line-up for "After the Fire" is just as impressive as it was for the hugely successful 1998 Firefly debut "Where you Gonna Run" (ESM 033). As permanent members along with John, we have Ron Wikso ; Drums (Richie Sambora, Foreigner, The Storm, Dave Lee Roth and Cher), Bob Gilles - Guitars (Innocent), John Thomas - Guitars (worked with countless bands in his career), Michael Alemenia - Keyboards (Wilson Phillips, Vixen, Jack Wagner) and Ricky Phillips - Bass (Bad English, Babys and Fredricksen/Phillips).  Whilst the debut album has many different musical styles, the second album sees Firefly tackling melodic hard rock head on.
