| As a founder member of seminal all gal band the Runaways, guitarist Lita Ford has never been averse to cranking out dangerous riffs and blinding lead guitar work. After leaving that band in the late 70's she cut a series of well received solo albums before finally achieving platinum status with the seminal 'Lita' issued in 1988, an album that saw her team up with a number of top hard rock associates including then boyfriend Nikki Sixx from Motley Crue, Motorhead's Lemmy and producer Mike Chapman who had, several years earlier, guided the Sweet to huge success. Adroitly managed by Sharon Osbourne the album contained a top 10 US hit single, the classic duet with Ozzy Osbourne 'Close My Eyes For Ever' which to this day remains a US radio staple. Unavailable for years on CD, this welcome reissue is bolstered by all the usual Rock Candy trimmings including a bonus track. Remastered Special Collector's Edition includes a bonus track, a sixteen page full colour booklet with original and enhanced artwork with new photos and extensive memorabilia and a 4,000 Word Essay by Malcolm Dome Inc. with track by track rundown by Lita Ford. | |
