| Singer / songwriter Terry Gann gained some success at the MTV Basement Tape Show during the late 80s, but he couldn’t secure a proper deal with a major label. At the same time he recorded “If You’re Listenin’”, which has been produced by SHOOTING STAR guitarist Van McLain, but he failed again by finding a proper deal. It’s not the first time that such things happened and won’t be the last time, but it’s again a pleasant surprise how many unreleased albums from the 80s are still shelved. “If You’re Listenin’” offers super catchy and radio friendly AOR stuff in the vein of JIMMY HARNEN, TIM FEEHAN or JIMMY DAVIS and should find a good home at every serious 80s AOR collection. | |
