Prior to his present tenure as vocalist with US stadium giants STYX, Lawrence Gowan had an enviable reputation as a solo artist in his adopted home land of Canada. This release collates some of the finest moments from his eight platinum albums and adds a few bonus extras along the way. Hailing from Glasgow, Gowan crossed the Atlantic at an early age with his new home of Canada little realising what was to come. A classically trained concert pianist by his mid teens, he was fronting his own band and was soon talent signed up by industry giant Columbia. That he is not the household name he deserves to be is just another of those rock n’ roll mysteries.
