The one question that repeatedly comes to mind when listening to these recordings is…why didn't Grand Slam secure that elusive record deal? With a mixture of Thin Lizzy classics, Lynott's own solo hits and amazing renditions of 'A Whiter Shade Of Pale' and Dylan's 'Like A Rolling Stone', this is a fascinating snap shot of a band in full flight and with much to offer.
