| It all started on
January 20th 2006 with the release of the "Night of
white rock" album! Returning in the original line-up
with Michael Voss (vocals, guitars), Juergen Breforth (guitars),
Axel Kruse (drums) und Roland Bergmann (bass, vocals) the
MAD MAX guys presented 11 new songs and a brandnew concept:
Melodic Rock with Christian lyrics! Both Old and new fans
loved it! One of the main reasons for the great success
of "Night of white rock" surely was the extensive
touring in support of the album. Directly after the release
of NOWR, MAD MAX got the chance to support classic rock
heroes DEEP PURPLE und ALICE COOPER on their german tour
on 5 shows in Germany's largest arenas in front of more
than 50.000 people. After a couple of festivals, MAD MAX
on may 1st, 2006 started a 2 week long European club tour
with JADED HEART and PAGANINI, with the last show taking
place in Madrid, Spain. Encouraged by all these experiences MAD MAX will open a new chapter with their 6 track EP "In White", due for release on September 29th, 2006. "In White" presents the MAD MAX songs in acoustic versions and with very emotional arrangements. "To hell and back again", the opening song of the NOWR album, was transformed into a percussion inferno with Spanish acoustic guitar sounds and "Bad day in heaven" sounds like an acoustic prayer with just Michael Voss' voice and a piano. With "Hello Father" you'll find a brandnew song written on the club tour in May and with "Lonely is the hunter" you'll see the return of a MAD MAX classic tune from the legendary "Stormchild" album. The outstanding highlight on "In White" surely is "Open the eyes of my heart". This worshipsong has been a huge millionselling hit in the USA, even though it has been quite unknown in Europe so far. Once you'll hear the song, you would like to sing it the whole day. What makes this song so special for MAD MAX is that it represents everything MAD MAX 2006 is standing for: Emotions, the Christian message and great and catchy songs! On top of the album you'll get a great artwork: Mr. Nigel Skeet, photographer extraordinaire from Los Angeles, responsible for the artwork for the brand new STRYPER DVD, created the cover, booklet and photos for "In White". The live premiere of "In White" will take place on October 1st, 2006 at the UNITED FORCES OF ROCK Part 2 Festival in the ROCKFABRIK in Ludwigsburg, Germany! |
