This is without a doubt the best indie release in a long time. Overloaded hail from the mighty Motor City and first got together a mere 12 months ago. Now where can we locate the musical exploits of this talented five some? Well, somewhere in the area of vintage Guns ‘N Roses, Skid Row, Jackyl, Dangerous Toys, LA Guns and Spread Eagle. It’s simply sweaty, sexually charged, high energy rock ’n roll. Topping things off are the gritty, powerful vocals of Chris Gillen that fall in somewhere between John Corabi (Mötley Crüe, Union, Ratt) and Jason McMaster (Dangerous Toys). Recorded on a budget limited by both time and money it looks (digi-pack) and sounds better (mastering was done by Tom Morris) than a lot of the stuff that gets released by some of the bigger labels in melodic rock land.
