| This Danish heavy metal quintet was formed in 1981 by vocalist Ronnie Atkins (b. Paul Christensen) and guitarist Ken Hammer (b. Keneth Hansen). Taking their musical brief from British acts Deep Purple, Judas Priest and UFO, their style was such that enthusiasm often outweighed originality. The band has undergone numerous line-up changes, with Atkins and Hammer joined by Ricky Marx (guitar), Allan Delong (bass) and Phil Moorhead (b. Henrik Andersen; drums) at various times. Although competent musicians, at times their delivery, image, and song titles provoked Spinal Tap comparisons in the press. Future World from 1987 was the band's strongest release, but subsequent albums failed to generate the same excitement. The Roger Glover-produced Jump The Gun failed to offer anything new, aside from affording the band the opportunity of working with one of their heroes. By the mid-90s the band had relocated to the Massacre label. | |
