Gary Hughes has done it again! Yet another masterpiece of classic melodic hard rock is ready to grace the ears of the numerous fans that have adopted the British sextet as the true heir to the throne of the Rainbow, Whitesnake and Thin Lizzy tradition to British hard rock. "Far Beyond The World" is TEN's sixth studio album and marks a substantial return to the classy and melodic atmospheres of the band's most successful album, "The Name Of The Rose" (over 60,000 copies sold worldwide!) which imposed the band's name over the Japanese and European markets as well. Of course, the energetic, guitar oriented approach of "Spellbound" is also very much part of this new album, especially in songs like the opener "Glimmer Of Evil", "High Tide" or the epic anthem, "Outlawed And Notorious". Another new element worthy of mentioning is the fact that the band chose to move from the UK to mix the album. The task fell to Tommy Newton (The Ark, Helloween, Crystal Ball etc.) at Area 51 Studios in Hannover, Germany. Tommy was able to give a new twist to the classic TEN sound which is now crystalline and powerful like never before. The lineup features, as always, Gary Hughes on all lead vocals and songwriting, Vinny Burns and John Halliwell on guitars, Greg Morgan on drums, Steve McKenna on bass and none other than HARD RAIN / BOB CATLEY ivory-tickler Paul Hodson. This lineup is stronger than ever and ready to hit the European stages during 2002 for storming live appearances !!! The album will include one or more bonus tracks exclusive to the European version of the album. More details as soon as available !!! |
