| Vicious Mary is a new band formed by ELDRITCH members Terence Holler (vocals) and Sean Henderson (keyboards). About one year ago the guys decided to create an entity parallel to their main band with the precise task to come back to the sound they really loved, firmly rooted in bands like Harem Scarem, Dokken, Whitesnake, Europe and Bon Jovi. Unfortunately the great success scored by Eldritch on the international markets (three studio records and two european tours with Angra and Threshold) made impossible to the two guys to sit down and start the recording of the new songs. But finally, right after the completion of the recording of Eldritch fourth studio album, "Reverse", the time was just right and Terence and Sean started demoing a few songs which immediately raised the interest of the fellow italian melodic hard rock label Frontiers Records. Joined by Pete Daniels (alias Matt Ruaro of Maya) and BB Nick (alias Nick Savio of White Skull) on guitars with additional musicians Louis Stefanini on bass, Camy Colleluori on drums and Fausto Torresan on additional guitars, Vicious Mary were finally a real band which immediately showed its own identity and sound, strongly resembling Harem Scarem, Winger, Ten and Fair Warning with a heavier impact due to the twin guitars powerful sound. Executive producer of the album is italian metal guru Pat Scalabrino (Labyrinth, Athena, Death SS). Vicious Mary debut has been mixed by Louis Stefanini at New Sin Studios (Labyrinth, Rhapsody). | |
