Because of true conviction, ACHIM SCHULZ dedicates himself to fi ne retro sounds without losing the basis of present music. ”We love handmade music, played with those instruments, which are a part of the history of beat and rock- music,” the artist states. “We mix our songs utilizing modern hardware and choose the tube technique because of its warm and characteristic sound”. Schultz has composed all songs himself. Except for the drums, he has also played all the instruments on the album. His latest album, “Bye Bye George Harrison“, incarnates the music from the heyday of the BEATLES. The cover artwork was designed by graphic artist, illustrator, musician and producer KLAUS VOORMANN, who received two Grammys and many international awards for the legendary BEATLES album covers ”Revolver“ (1966) and “Beatles Anthology“ as well as for his participation in GEORGE HARRISON`S ”Concert for Bangladesh“(1971). He also played bass with MANFRED MANN and was an original member of JOHN LENNON`S “Plastic Ono Band“. For many years, he has worked in the USA and England as a musician with artists such as JOHN LENNON, GEORGE HARRISON, RINGO STARR, CARLY SIMON and others.
