Firehouse was late to the hair- & glam metal scene; only a year later, grunge bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam would destroy the genre almost overnight. When Firehouse arrived, they really didn’t even offer anything fresh. They played songs that fit squarely within the Warrant-like brand of poppy, melodic, hook-driven glam metal. The music here is all tried and true Glam Metal pretty much 100% – following the formula of the acts that had come before (think Skid Row, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi and Motley Crue to name a few) and there is also a little bit of AOR to be had here. Possibly one of the greatest debuts of all time they won a Grammy in 1992 by chosen over Nirvana and Alice In Chains!! Bad Reputation re-issue.
