‘Beggars Gold’ started off as 22 songs, later trimmed to 13, only the best of the best included on the final cut. The album hits hard and is a relentless rollercoaster ride combining strong hooks & riffs as in ‘Playing with Fire’, ‘Never Say Die’, ‘Blind’, ‘Our Song’ & ‘In Everyone of Us’.

Tackling issues like self-confidence, bullying, drug/alcohol abuse & homelessness in songs like ‘Stone by Stone’, ‘Beggars Gold’ & ‘In Everyone of Us’, only adds more dynamics to the album. ‘Take a Look at Me Now’, highlights Mitchell’s songwriting craft, written about the disillusioned, talent show generation, with a tongue in cheek, sinister twist. The ‘Beggars Gold’ album tries to give everything that any true melodic/AOR rock fan would want to hear from an album. Mitchell has thrown everything at this one, huge guitar riffs, anthemic choruses, gospel choirs, epic harmonies & raw, honest powerful rock vocals.

‘Beggars Gold’ is released in two formats – regular jewel case CD and a limited Special Edition.

Tony Mitchell is a singer/songwriter best known for being the front man & guitarist of 90s Rock band, ‘Kiss of the Gypsy’. Signed to Atlantic Records & Warner Chappell publishing, Mitchell has been a sought-after writer, performer & producer for many years, writing for many bands & artists, including ‘Paul Rodgers’.

He has released several albums as Mitchell, One, Kingdom of Deadmen, Boneyard Zombies, Syd Zilla & the latest being with 2017 melodic rock band, Dirty White Boyz with the album, ‘Down & Dirty’. Mitchell has also sang & played guitar for Alice Cooper, Jon Anderson, Alan Parsons Project & Tony Hadley on the British Rock Symphony South American tour in 2000. He sang lead vocals on ‘Mr Slow’ by Rick Wakeman, from his 1999 album, ‘Return to the Centre of the Earth’. Mitchell continued to sing for the ATP tennis player’s live rock shows with the likes of Pat Cash, John McEnroe & Jannick Noah.
